Maroubra Mental Health Centre

I just thought I’d update you on a few developments after ‘The Maroubra Centre- Inspiring Recovery’ project.

My aim since the project was to do refurbishments across the District and a wonderful opportunity came up last year to do just that.

I secured a Project Officer role for a ‘SESLHD Facilities Renewal’ project.

It was originally for 3 months but was extended to 6 and although there were restrictions on what I was able to get done, I am happy to say around 16 mental health spaces now look and feel more relaxing, calmer and trauma informed.

I am going to share my PowerPoint of before and after photos with you shortly.

We have had so much positive feedback from consumers and staff and my next aim is to try and do this in other LHD’s across N.S.W.

There are a few more spaces to go and items to tick off but I wanted to thank you all for the support you gave me during the Maroubra Centre project and display ‘Through little things, Big thing grow!’
