International Projects
The Club has supported a range of international aid projects including:
Since it's small beginnings in 2003, Blue Dragon has become a powerful force for change on the streets of Vietnam, both in the bustling cities and in rural areas where poverty is widespread.
Blue Dragon offers children and families in crisis the chance to turn their lives around, providing practical solutions to the daily problems that are keeping poverty alive.
The Rotary Club of Botany Randwick has been with the Foundation since its very early days. We are proud with what it has grown into today, with its focus on assisting street kids exposed to dangers such as trafficking, homelessness, sexual exploitation, drug abuse, and illness.
Timor Leste Village Water Supply
Many remote villages in the remote Oecusse province of Timor Leste have no local water supply and villagers have to carry water many kilometres over rough terrain. Our projects have provided funding, through Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) to pipe water to central points within these villages.
This project is designed to address one of the major problems affecting the health and well being of the people of Oecusse - the lack of potable water. Water borne diseases such as dysentery, gastro-enteritis and diarrhoea are endemic.
Timor Leste - Green Games
We have assisted OzGreen with funding to run the annual GREEN Games, a massive community sporting event, created to help repair a community left fractured after gaining independence. It has grown to become a much loved annual event involving tens of thousands of people.
