Dr Keith Suter, Managing Director Global Directions think tank, is an economic and social commentator, strategic planner, conference speaker, author and broadcaster As a broadcaster, he appears on Australian radio an average of once per day. He is the TV Channel 7 “Sunrise” foreign affairs editor. He teaches politics at the Sydney international campus of Boston University He has been a member of the international think tank The Club of Rome since 1993. In 1986: International Year of Peace, he was awarded the Australian Government’s Peace Medal. In 1997 he became a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of his work for international co-operation. |

Peter Gleeson is a fourth-year Economics student at UNSW, passionate about equity, inclusion, and leadership. With extensive experience across education, technology, and community engagement, Peter has developed strong skills in public speaking, communication, and policy analysis. At UNSW, Peter has excelled in multiple roles, including as a Student Presenter at the 360 Impact Event, where he addressed 150 donors, highlighting the importance of diversity and equal access to education. As a Gateway Ambassador, he represented UNSW at careers exhibitions, managed over 200 student inquiries, and inspired future students through marketing campaigns. In his role as an Access, Equity & Inclusion Senior Student Ambassador, Peter led workshops for over 300 high school students, showcasing university pathways and fostering aspirations for higher education. As a Student Mentor, Peter has mentored over 40 first-year university students, many of whom have become mentors themselves, inspired by Peter and the way he impacted them. He has also been a Student Representative, actively contributing to enhancing the student experience, and supporting initiatives at increasing belonging at UNSW. He has contributed to UniReady a guide to help first-year students transition. Beyond university, Peter has contributed significantly to the NSW Department of Education as a Technology Support Officer Assistant, where he has managed over 1,500 devices, streamlined IT infrastructure, and enhanced operational efficiency. As an Executive Assistant at Elizabeth Macarthur High School, he supported financial and administrative operations. Peter’s work with AMPE Services further reflects his versatility, where he has developed a user-friendly website, improved engagement through marketing strategies, and provided technical support to staff and management. Peter has also been a Creative Technology Volunteer at Hillsong Church since 2016, leading a team of 50 volunteers in managing technical equipment for events and mentoring young volunteers to build skills in technology and leadership. He has coordinated sound, lighting, and video for major productions, including programming screen media for Hillsong Conference 2024, while also contributing to social media strategies, photography, and video production for youth and college projects. Peter has established a charitable foundation, AMPE Foundation, to help others overcome educational disadvantages. The first project is to set up a resource centre in Bukono County, Uganda, to give back and help those who face educational disadvantages. Peter is excited to begin his new role as a Graduate Development Officer with the Department of Home Affairs. Building on his background in Economics from UNSW and his passion for equity and inclusion, Peter is passionate about contributing to impactful policymaking and governance and supporting initiatives that shape Australia’s future. |
