Ronald McDonald House at Randwick is conducting its major fundraiser on Sunday 30 March. The "Walk Me Home" event will have volunteers walking from Rose Bay to the House at the Hospital in Randwick, with a sausage sandwich on arrival.
The House provides much needed support for the families of children from rural and regional NSW whilst their children are being treated at Sydney Children's Hospitals. Two of our ROMAC families, Nayline and Henry from Vanuatu, and Nicholson and Emily from The Solomons, are currently staying there.
Members will recall the very much appreciated dinner that we provided for the families staying at the House late last year.
Rotary has been asked to assist with running the BBQ. Everything has been donated - marquee, tables, BBQ, sausages, bread, etc - all we have to do is to turn up and do the cooking!!
We are now looking for members to assist on the day. We need a couple of people to assist setting up from 9am, then a few more to cook on the BBQ's and assist at the serving tables from 10:30am until about 2pm. If you could assist for even a couple of hours it will be very much appreciated.
